Hi, welcome to my website!

I am a children’s author and primary school teacher.  I write picture books with a whimsical, yet traditional feel to them and enjoy reading my stories aloud to anyone willing to listen (usually complete with props and some silly voices!).

I began writing stories for fun when my children were very young.  I then entered story-writing competitions and was shortlisted for the UCLAN Publishing ‘Finney the Fox’ story in 2020 and the Stratford Salaryia Book Award in 2021.  I also won a Pudsey Bear poetry competition when I was eight and had to read my poem out on the radio, but that was a very long time ago!

My debut children’s picture book, ‘The Giant at Number Two’ is being published in May 2024 by Tiny Tree Books.  As well as a story to be enjoyed time and time again, this book could be used as a teaching text in primary schools, giving the villain of a much-loved traditional tale, an alternative voice.
